Abstract
Student athletes have never been paid by the NCAA and that is an issue that must be solved. It would not be a hard task for the NCAA to accomplish as they are getting billions of dollars, they definitely have enough to spare for the struggling student athletes. Paying the student athletes is an issue for many different reasons. Injuries happen everyday in sports and they are uncontrollable. Some of the students families themselves are struggling and could use some help financially. Student athletes being paid would just make the situation better for everyone as the NCAA would no longer be getting backlash and the student athletes would no longer be struggling.
Biography
My name is Garrett Campos and I am a senior at Wakefield School. My personal interests in life as of right now is anything sports related which is why I chose this topic. My favorite football team is the Redskins and my favorite basketball team is going to be wherever current draft prospect, Ja Morant, gets drafted. I really enjoy watching him as every play seems like a highlight reel. I am planning of attending Lord Fairfax community college for hopefully less than a year. I hope to study sports broadcasting or sports marketing.
